herd immunity threshold may depend on the R value for the virus. not sure.

NoobWagen i apologize for having studied immunology and being able to discuss this topic with some basic understanding
nosliwreborn |
edgewalker69 if you've already had corona then your body has the T-cells which recognize anti-gens specific to that strain. But new variants have different anti-gens and thus your body may or may not be able to detect the illness, and if it cannot, then you will get ill again. That's why people catch the flu every year. The virus mutates quickly allowing it to bypass the immune system undetected, even if you're \"immune\" to 20 other flu variants.
nosliwreborn |
edgewalker69 you've already had corona? @napoleonicass no i took an immunology course, I don't watch CNN
nosliwreborn |
because you can't gain resistence by not taking measures, not taking measures only increases the likelihood of contracting corona, upon which you may or may not become extremely ill, and may/may not suffer from prolonged organ damage or other secondary side effects, and once you've recovered, then you will have the natural antibodies against that specific corona strain, not the new variants, though.
